Test questions that your leaders need to know

Promotional Testing Experts

The goal of every law enforcement promotional test is to identify the best candidates who will lead the agency for years to come.  At Protect and Serve Promotional Testing our aim to help law enforcement agencies achieve that goal by providing customized tests based upon the needs of each individual agency.

Tailored Testing

Every test we prepare is unique and specifically tailored to the agency and position tested.  We never use generic, boxed questions on our assessments.  Every question is chosen with your agency's needs in mind.  Before preparing a test, we will meet with you to discuss YOUR needs and develop a test unique to your agency.

Our Story

Protect and Service Promotional Testing was the brilliant idea of our co-founder, Regina Woodcox.  As a police wife of over 29 years, she is well acquainted with the hours upon hours of study and preparation it takes to prepare for a written promotional examination.  She was also well acquainted with the frustration promotional candidates felt after taking promotional examinations that had little or nothing to do with the position tested for.  One evening after discussing the frustration with her husband, Retired Police Chief Todd Woodcox, she remarked that perhaps Todd should start writing tests they way he wished they were written when he was a candidate and later as Chief.  Thus, the idea for Protect and Serve Promotional Testing was born.

We never outsource our test question development.  All tests are prepared by our in-house subject matter experts with the specific law enforcement agency and its needs in mind.  Each question on our promotional examinations is designed to test the knowledge a police supervisor should know.  We do NOT select random questions from textbooks to test memorization skills.  Our goal is not just to promote the best candidates but to encourage candidates taking future tests to focus on relevant information, not random statements from the test materials.  In doing so, candidates are learning valuable lessons regardless of their placement on a promotional eligibility list.
